Pennoyer Family Newsletter - 8/11/23

Pennoyer Families,

I can't believe we start school in less than 2 weeks!  I hope you all have had a great summer with family and friends.  My summer was filled with so many great memories.  I got to travel with my son on a road trip out to Colorado for his soccer team that qualified for the National Cup Finals, my daughter competed in dance on the National level in Florida, my best friend had his first baby, and my wife and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary.

Whatever the summer brought your way, I hope you made the best of it!  I can't wait to see all of our students and families soon.  Pennoyer is looking great!  Our custodial crew has worked so hard this summer to get our school ready, and our staff is working hard as well to get ready to welcome students into the 2023-2024 school year.  I'm also working hard to finish my new Netflix show I've become addicted to "Suits" before the school year starts and I don't have as much time to watch television anymore...lol.

As I communicate moving forward every Friday with families, I’ll continue to use this format, as well as the blog link below if you prefer.  The blog format is helpful since it has features that translate languages and archive previous blogs if you ever want to go back to newsletters from past weeks.

Enjoy Mr. G's Corner...

We Celebrate at Pennoyer!

I'm so excited to celebrate and welcome our new teachers to Pennoyer this year!  This is an amazing group of individuals that we're so lucky to have.  I know our students and families will love getting to know them.  We've had a great week at New Teacher Orientation.  This group has worked hard and it's already feeling like they're a part of our Pennoyer family.  I'm so proud of them!  We also have some prior staff members moving into new positions that we're super excited about.  Congratulations to Megan McManus who is going to be our new 6th-8th Structured Learning Teacher, Kate Barzano who is our new K-2nd Learning Specialist, and Anna Siwiec who is now one of our 1st grade teachers!
