Pennoyer Families,
This past week our students and staff all did a great job running through our safety drills. I was so proud of how smoothly everything ran. We'll certainly continue to improve and build upon our procedures that are focused on creating a safe and secure learning environment for everyone. Our first week of October was filled with some memorable moments, but one that I was personally so excited to be proud of was our newly formed Principal's Crew. This was an idea I came up with this year with the support of our incredible staff. A select group of 3rd-8th graders were chosen by their teachers to represent not only their grade levels, but all of the students at Pennoyer. We had our first meeting during their lunch/recess time this past Thursday, and we'll continue to meet moving forward at least once a month so this group of special students can have time with me to work on transforming Pennoyer into the best school possible for each and every student. They already came up with so many incredible ideas!!!

- Just a heads up that the Salvation Army will be repaving their parking lot on October 13th and October 17th if you're using it during arrival or dismissal time. On October 13th- the far entrance and and back part of the lot will be closed, and on Oct. 17th-the near entrances and front of the lot will be closed. Sorry for this inconvenience. Also, please remember when you are using the Salvation Army parking lot to be in actual parking spaces in their lot and not in their circle drive in front of the building...thanks!
- SAVE THE DATE - Fall Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, November 7th - More information about signing up to come.
Sincerely,
